* The 1974 and 1975 4 Way RW Nationals were very different to the sequential which we know now. Sequential Competition was first used at the BPA Nationals in 1976, albeit in a somewhat different format to nowadays. In 1975, the jump was to do an unlinked exit, build a 4 way star then to all drop grips, everyone to backloop and then build the second formation. The second formation was a specific formation such as  a caterpillar, a diamond, in-out or murphy. The jump was scored by timing the build of the second point after the backloop began. Thus in 1975, the RAFSPA team won with the following scores - "R.A.F.S.P.A. Rd1: 4 (8.5) Rd2: 4 (12) Rd3: 4 (13) Rd4: 4 (16) Rd5: 4 (10) Rd6: 4 (13) 24 points in 72.5 seconds" meaning that on Round 1 it took 8.5 seconds to build a completed 4 way of the specified second point after the backloop. And so on for rounds 2 to 6. They tied with "Rays Rock Sand and Gravel" (who scored Rd1: 14 (16.5) Rd2: 4 (14) Rd3: 4 (11) Rd4: 4 (14.5) Rd5: 4 (12.5) Rd6: 4 (14.5) 24 points in 83 seconds) but the total time was lower thus RAFSPA won. If you think it was inevitable that teams built 4 ways after each point, here is the full scoreboard indicating that RW was in its infancy with some teams not managing to build a complete 4 way formation at all -
4-MAN SEQUENTIAL
Peterborough ZAP ZAP ZAP (Withdrew)
Army ZAP 3 (.30) 3 (.30) 2 (.30) ZAP ZAP 8 points 90 seconds
R.A.F.S.P.A. 4 (8.5) 4 (12) 4 (13) 4 (16) 4 (10) 4 (13) 24 points 72.5 seconds
Black Knights ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP
Rays Rock Sand and Gravel 4 (16.5) 4 (14) 4 (11) 4 (14.5) 4 (12.5) 4 (14.5) 24 points  83 seconds
